Invisible fiber optic cables, also known as transparent tight-buffered cables, are specifically designed for indoor cabling. They consist of G.657 fiber, fiber grease, and a transparent tight buffer layer, with an optional outer layer of hot-melt adhesive. These cables feature a small diameter: the invisible cable without hot-melt adhesive measures 0.9mm in diameter, while the version with hot-melt adhesive is 1.2mm. Sheath materials include PVC and nylon, with PVC being more common. Nylon offers higher hardness and tensile strength.
