In cold regions, select fiber optic cables with excellent low-temperature resistance. In environments with strong electromagnetic interference, choose cables with strong electromagnetic interference resistance.

 

Mechanical Performance Requirements: Select fiber optic cables with appropriate mechanical properties based on the installation method and potential external forces. Direct-buried cables require strong resistance to compression, tension, and rodent damage; aerial cables must withstand forces like wind and gravity; conduit cables need compatibility with the conduit and sufficient flexibility for bending during installation.

 

Fiber Core Count: Determine the fiber core count based on actual requirements. If multiple signals need to be transmitted simultaneously or space is required for future expansion, select fiber optic cables with a higher core count. Common outdoor fiber optic cable core counts include 4-core, 6-core, 8-core, 12-core, 24-core, and other specifications.
